Best Celebrity Bodies of 2010

It's almost the end of the year and this can mean only one thing: the entire industry is taking a step back and having a proper look at what 2010 was like from all points of view.

Aside from the by-now traditional The Best and The Worst in film, music and fashion, we should also have a look at the Best Celebrity Bodies of the year that's about to end.

Fitness magazine decided to do just that, honoring the stars who have shown the most dedication to working out and staying in shape throughout 2010, from expectant moms to couples, and stars who have decided to make a change and be better, more toned and healthier versions of themselves.

Speaking of which, the first two celebs to make the cut for this year's top by Fitness are reality star Kelly Osbourne and singer and actress Jennifer Hudson.

As fans must know, both decided they wanted to lead healthier lives and consequently embarked on a journey that has been as successful as it's been documented in the press.

They are now healthier, slimmer, more toned and, of course, more confident. Because they both achieved amazing results (Hudson dropped 10 dress sizes, Osbourne 6), Fitness calls it a tie in the Best Celebrity Slim Down category.

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth make the Cutest Workout Pair: they both train with Michael George, a fitness expert who, the mag says, “encourages strength training and working multiple muscle groups at once.”

In the young moms category, Fitness names Melissa Rycroft of DWTS and “The Bachelor” as the Best Baby Bump, while Bethenny Frankel is Best Body After Baby for losing an amazing 29 pounds in just 21 days – the healthy way.

For celebrities over 45, Fitness has created a special category called Best Age-Defiers and, here too, it's a tie between former “Friends” star Courteney Cox and comedienne Kathy Griffin.

“It’s a tie between Courteney Cox, 46, who stays fit with the Tracey Anderson Method, a combination of dance aerobics and toning, and Kathy Griffin, 50, who has been showing off her 'bangin’ bikini bod' this year, thanks to working out six days a week,” Fitness writes.

Country singer Carrie Underwood, a longtime vegetarian, is named Best Bridal Body, while Kate Middleton, a dedicated skier and rower, the fiancee of Prince William, is Best Bride-to-Be in terms of staying in shape.

To prove that this is not all about being stick-thin but actually about being healthy, Fitness mag also includes Christina Hendricks, the woman of the hourglass silhouette, in the Best Curves category.

“Actress Christina Hendricks is a fan of the BOSU ball, and she does treadmill and weight workouts. She also eats foods such as avocado and olive oil, regardless of the calories,” the magazine informs us.

Also in Fitness, we find that Kate Gosselin has the Best Mom Abs (after all, she did flaunt them on the much-talked about cover of People magazine in nothing but a two-piece swimsuit), while Audrina Patridge is Best Reality Starlet (having gotten in top shape with her recent stint on DWTS), while Lady Gaga, admittedly the most “provocative” star of 2010 as per CNN, has the Best Moves, thanks to personal trainer Harley Pasternak.
