ESPN NFL 2K5 Hints XXIX (PS2)

ESPN NFL 2K5 is a video game that was developed by Visual Concepts Entertainment, Inc. and published by SEGA of America, Inc. The game was launched on the PlayStation 2 from Sony and on the original Xbox from Microsoft in July 2004.

The game is classed as being an American football simulation that is played from a third-person perspective and includes a lot of management aspects.

The presentation element, taking advantage of the ESPN license, has been rebuilt from the ground up with the voice of the commentator replaced with a fully realized virtual Chris Berman, who makes an introduction for each game, a half time report and a post game show that focuses on analysis.

There's
also a side line reporter enhancing the presentation.

The game also introduces a new V.I.P. profile which is designed to show how each particular players enjoys the game, with states collected from each of their games.

The profile can then be used to play against an Artificial Intelligence that has the same characteristics as the player.

With the ESPN celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2005, the game also introduces an Anniversary Mode that will allow the player to experience directly great moments from the history of American football, like The Heidi Bowl and The Immaculate Reception.

The Crib mode has been redesigned with points being earned through games that can be then spent in order to get specific items.

The mode now also has a dart board and celebrities can call if the fame of the player is high enough.

The list of celebrities includes: Steve-O, Carmen Electra, Jamie Kennedy, David Arquette or Funkmaster Flex.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Beat the salary cap

Beating the salary cap can be frustrating with created characters. Instead, go to the roster for your favorite team, find the third string position player, then just edit his name, stats, and appearance. By doing this, your player will be rated 100 overall, but still be paid a very low salary.
