Even though certain IT players like secrecy overmuch, leaks sometimes spill anyway, and one of the more recent ones has AMD's Fusion as the technology of choice of Apple for some of its upcoming products.
Much hype is surrounding the Fusion architecture form Advanced Micro Devices, and the fact that the first products are not far off.
This, of course, put those looking for rumors in a very focused state of awareness in their efforts to uncover any sort of new information on it.
Some time ago, it was implied that Apple might use the APUs (accelerated processing units) in a number of its upcoming devices.
Needless to say, AMD was quick to deny any such implications, but a more recent report appears to state otherwise.
By now, end-users will be well acquainted with how secretive Apple likes to be when it comes to all of its inventions.
As such, having the central part of its new line of electronics revealed ahead of time is never a pleasant occurrence for it.
On that note, Fudzilla states that AMD's denial of Fusion being used in Apple products was just meant as “damage control.”
In other words, the denial was meant as a way to assuage whatever feelings Apple may have begun to harbor towards AMD after that unfortunate slip.
This assumption is made because Fudzilla's most recent report on the issue is that a so-called “very reliable source” form AMD actually confirmed Apple's adoption of Fusion.
Unfortunately, the report held no sort of information on the deal itself, so it is impossible to tell how many products one may expect or how long it will be before they show up in stores.
Granted, this is still just one rumor, so users should take care to bring the necessary grain of salt when indulging it.
