Creative Outs the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Alpha and Sigma 3D Gaming Headsets

Since PC gaming has evolved to some unbelievable levels these days, every accessory in a serious gamer's arsenal has to be in tip-top shape and capable of delivering a very good level of efficiency at all times, whether we're talking here about the mouse, keyboard or headsets.

And Creative seems to have you covered at least as far as that last type of accessories is concerned, the company releasing the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Alpha and Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma gaming headsets, which are the first Sound Blaster headsets to feature customizable profiles, for a precise audio experience every time, as well as the first two models in the company's new line of Tactic3D gaming headsets featuring THX TruStudio Pro technology.

The THX TruStudio Pro audio technology developed by the sound engineers at Creative, in conjunction with THX, uses proprietary advanced algorithms that allow sounds to be recreated above, below and all around the gamer, surpassing the limitations of typical 5.1 and 7.1 headsets.

It also allows gamers to hear very detailed voices and sounds regardless of how far away they are, making the Tactic3D line of headsets a very good choice for experiencing audio in the next generation of 3D gaming.

The Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Alpha Headset packs 40mm Neodymium drivers for enhanced gaming audio performance, an optimised lightweight design for marathon game play, as well as customizable TacticProfile technology that enables gamers to save their own settings or use pre-configured settings from pro-gamers.

Other available features include the programmable VoiceFX for voice morphing into in-game characters or during VoIP chats, the detachable noise-cancelling microphone that allows the headset to be used as great sounding headphones, the Dual Mode USB 2.0 adapter that enables the headset to be used in analogue mode, as well as the non-tangle flat ribbon cable.

Next in line comes the Sigma model that builds largely on the platform of the Alpha, adding 50mm Neodymium gaming-tuned linear high-resolution drivers and a steel core headband for a precise fit with maximum durability.

The Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Alpha and Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma will be available in stores from mid December 2010 onwards at the suggested retail prices of US$59.99 and US$89.99 respectively.
