JooJoo 2 Tablet to Run Android, Target Enterprise Customers

Although the market is already starting to be a little bit overcrowded with tablets (just about everyone and their mother rolling out such a product, while the iPad is the only model that actually sells consistently), that's not stopping the companies manufacturing such products to release even more devices onto the more or less “unsuspecting” audience, with Fusion Garage being one of the latest to prove that they don't really know when to stop (or at least take a break).

For those of you who're not really that familiar with the tablet world in general and Fusion Garage in particular, we'll have to say that the company has managed to make itself famous (or better said, quite infamous) after the scandal involving their JooJoo tablet, a device initially designed and developed together with TechCruch's Michael Arrington (back then, it was called the Crunchpad), but that Fusion Garage then decided to launch on its own, with some rather unimpressive results.

However, it seems that poor sales (and the ongoing legal debacle with Mr. Arrington) isn't stopping Fusion Garage from planning to launch even more tablets, but with a few changes compared to the original.

So, according to Ubergizmo, the JooJoo 2 tablet will apparently go for the Android operating system (no word on the specific Android build, though), while in the same time changing its target from the mainstream segment to the business one.

To this end, Fusion Garage has apparently already contacted Japanese company ASTEC Co. Ltd, who'll modify the tablet's current OS (non-Android) to tailor it to enterprise applications.

Another interesting and useful modification will be a serious bump-up in the amount of internal memory, from the current 4GB to 16GB.

Of course, we're not really sure just how these modifications will affect the success of the JooJoo 2 (or whether we'll actually get to see the tablet released onto the market), but that's probably something only time will tell.
