Samsung Galaxy Tab releasing on 12 Nov.

Samsung
Galaxy
Tab,
the
first
tablet
PC
the
South
Korean
mobile
phone maker brought to
shelves with Google's
Android operating system
on board, should make an
appearance on the
Canadian market at
wireless carrier Bell next
week, on November 12th,
to be more specific.
According to some leaked
documents from the wireless
carrier, we should see the
Android slate launched on
“Canada’s best network” next
week with SMS capabilities on
board.
Moreover, it appears that the
first units have already started
to make an appearance in the
wireless carrier's inventory.
For the time being, however,
there are no specific details
available on the price tag the
tablet PC might sport at Bell,
nor on whether it would be put
on pre-order too.
Even so, a recent article on BGR
notes that the slate should
indeed arrive on shelves in
Canada pretty soon, offering
users the possibility to enjoy
Android 2.2 on that large 7-inch
screen it sports.
For those who might have not
encountered the device
before, we should note that it
packs a 1GHz application
processor inside, complemented
by 16GB/32GB of internal
memory.
At the same time, the tablet PC
comes with a mcroSD memory
card slot with support for up
to 32GB of additional storage
space.
Other
specifications
of
the
device
include
a
3.2-
megapixel
photo
snapper
on
the
back,
complemented
by
a
1.3MP camera on the front, for
video chat.
The Galaxy Tab also comes
with a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G
connectivity options, as well as
with enhanced multimedia
capabilities.
Running under Android 2.2
Froyo, the slate offers support
for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, so
that users can access a wider
range of websites on their
devices.
Not to mention that it sports
support for various Google
services, as well as for
applications, which can be
downloaded and installed from
the Android Market.
Provided that the rumor pans
out, we should see Bell
announcing the Galaxy Tab's
arrival pretty soon, so keep an
eye on this space for more info
on the matter.
